What this site is
Home Robot Compared is an independent guide to robots for the home and yard. It gives general information to help you compare products. It is not professional advice. Robots with blades, motors and batteries can hurt people and pets; install and use any product the way its maker says, and ask a qualified installer when you are unsure.
How accurate it is
We work hard to be right, but we can be wrong or out of date. Figures such as lawn size, slope and noise are what the maker claims, as of the date shown on the page, unless we say a reviewer measured them. Makers change products and prices without telling us. Check the maker's page and the seller before you buy. You can report a mistake and we will fix it.
Links, stores and commissions
Some links to stores, Amazon among them, are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what we say about a product. How we earn. We do not sell anything ourselves. A purchase is a deal between you and the store, and its price, stock, delivery, returns and warranty are the store's responsibility. We do not control other websites and are not responsible for what they say or do.
Using the site
You may read the site, share links to it and quote short parts of it with a link back. Automated reading is fine at a polite pace if you follow robots.txt; do not overload the site, bypass its protections, or copy it in bulk to publish elsewhere. Do not use the contact form for spam, abuse or anything unlawful.
Our content and yours
The text, structure and design of the site belong to us. Product names, logos and photos belong to their owners and appear here only to say which product we mean. When you write to us, you let us use your message to answer you and to correct the site. Our privacy page says how we handle your data.
No guarantee, and limits on our responsibility
The site is provided as it is, without promises that it is always available, complete or fit for your purpose. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on the site, from buying a product or from a store's actions. Nothing here limits rights that the law gives you as a consumer and that cannot be limited, or liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes, and using the site after that means you accept the new version.
