We collect robot mower specs from maker pages and other public sources, and we do not test the robots ourselves. Every figure on this site is a maker's claim unless we say otherwise.

Who are we, and do you test the robots?

We are an independent reference site, not a store and not a robot maker. We do not test robots. We have not driven them on our own lawns, and we do not claim hands-on results. When you read a number here, such as the area a mower can handle, it is what the maker or another public source says.

That is why we write "makers say" and "claimed" so often. It keeps clear what is known and what is promised.

Where does the data come from?

We collect specs from maker product pages and other public sources, such as manuals, spec sheets and retailer listings that repeat the maker's figures. We gathered them with the help of AI-assisted research tools and merged them into one table. The table is a snapshot, which means it shows what we found on one date and will change as new models appear.

The current snapshot is dated 2026-10-07. It holds 378 robot lawn mower models from 31 brands.

What do "current", "previous" and "discontinued" mean?

Each model carries a status. In plain words:

Current: part of the maker's lineup as of the snapshot date. 312 models.

Previous: an older model that the maker has moved on from, though it may still be sold or used. 61 models.

Discontinued: the maker has stopped making it. 4 models.

Unreleased: announced but not yet on sale. 1 model.

Status can change quickly. A model listed as current today may be previous next season.

What do the confidence levels mean?

Each model also has a confidence level for how well its data is sourced. In plain words, high means the figures are well supported, medium means some of the figures rest on fewer or less direct sources, and low means thin sourcing, so treat the figures with extra care.

In the 2026-10-07 snapshot, 200 models are high, 131 are medium and 47 are low. Even high confidence only means the claim is well supported. It does not mean we checked it on a real robot.

What are the known gaps?

We would rather tell you what is missing than guess. The main gaps today:

Price: a US list price is known for only 145 of the 378 models. Some of those may be sale prices rather than list prices, and a few very large or commercial units sit far above the rest.

Release year: missing for about 78 models.

Sizes and slopes: area and slope limits are maker claims, and they sometimes differ between sources, for example between a US page and a European page.

Regional differences: a model sold in one country may be different, or missing, in another. Some lines are sold in the UK or Australia but not in the US.

Names: the same model sometimes appears under different names. We merge entries when we spot them, but some duplicates or mixed-up spellings may remain.

Availability at retailers: where our data says a model was "not found" at a store, that means we did not find it, not that it is unavailable.

When a field is unknown, we plan to hide it instead of filling it with a guess.

What do you do when sources disagree?

We note that the sources differ. If one source says a mower handles one slope and another says something else, we do not pick the number we like. We show what we have, with the source, and mark the entry as less certain.

Numbers also come in different units. We show area in m2 and square feet, and slope in percent and degrees, using standard conversions: 1 m2 is 10.764 sq ft, and 100% slope is 45 degrees.

How do you handle errors and corrections?

If you spot an error, tell us about it. A contact form for this is coming. Until it is live, we do not yet have a public way to send a correction, and we are sorry for that. Once it is up, we will check the source and fix the entry, and note where the sources differ.

Do makers or sellers pay to change what you show?

No. It is our policy that we do not accept payment to change specs, to list a model, or to change how a model is described. Before you buy, check the maker's page for the exact model sold in your country, and read the manual for limits and safety advice.

Next step: Use the Help me choose quiz to narrow down models, or read How to choose a robot lawn mower. We do not test robots.

Why is a price missing for some models?
We only know a US list price for 145 of 378 models.
